This makes me wonder, I tried to register omega.ath.cx before, but that's registered allready, but if you try to ping/ftp/http/ssh/telnet it it just doesn't reply. This sucks.

Dont think it's possible to do that with domain names...
It IS possible to do this with domains (the nordic letters و, ّ, ه). But you're right, not good for non-nordic people. You have to install some sort of sertificate as well, so the dns-servers can understand the domain-name.

Don't even get me started on the evilness that is funky characters in domain names.
