Project Name: Bertarve CyberOrganic Arachnoid
Width: 2.80 meters
Lenght: 3.45 meters
Height: 2.10 meters

Propulsion: Steam Powered, internal hydrolic system.
Armor: Steel and iron, impenetrable by conventional weaponry.
Ativation: Key system.
Weapon system: Dual barrel gemini system.
Gemini one, project name: Needler
Six rotating barrels firing steam accelerated 0.12 m bolts. Due to the rotating mechanism, each barrel can be rapidly loaded and unloaded, resulting in a rapid ROF. Due to the smaller size of the bolts, their impact damage is less than the average bolt, but the increased ammo capability and the high rate of fire make up for this.
Gemini Two, project name: Sting
Single barrel firing a poison coated 0.28 m bolt. Earlier experiments with tag and firebolts resulted in disaster and destruction of testsites, including several Bertarve prototypes as well. Also, because of the Bertarve's unique type of perception, the light emitted from tags and fire bolts were of no use to the unit, therefor COHM opted for a bolt coated with a halucinogenetic poison. these bolts serve as a backup system, used to terminate fastmoving targets.
Internal System:
Creating a processing unit proved to be impossible, the type of AI needed was far too complex to be realisable... therefor the COHM conducted experiments with Pet Spider cerebra linked to a optic nerve station, fiber optics on sensitive parts of the limbs provided for a sense of feel, but a sense of vision proved to be too complicated to be introduced to the spiders nerve system.
Instead a sense of hearing was introduced. The spider will patrol on his route, but when an unfamiliar sound is recieved in the frontal hearing chamber, the more sensitive echo location system is activated (to indicate the target of the echo location, the echoscanned area will be designated with a triangle of red light, emitted from enhanced lightsources (think predator)), once a target is aquired by echolocation, the Bertarve will fire a barage of 0.12 m bolts to terminate it.
The only downside of this system is that the bertarve cannot detect stationary targets.
The cerebral core itself is placed inside the head, and is stabilised by core fluid from human crania.
