  • What was in your opinion the best thing of 1.2?

    I vote for the mario ko.
    In fact i thing it would be a cool idea to make a emotion of a thief wearing a mario hat.

    • The map Th-Skeltstonhead.
    • The fixed map Spider. (It had a nasty roombug in 1.1)
    • Being able to climb on other players.

                    Definately the fact the Guards or their team mates couldnt step on their own mines!This ended(for me)the single most frustrating thing about Guard gameplay before.

                    Thief side-straffe slowed to counter circle-straffers,and the speed between Thieves and Guards being more balanced too(especially down vents)were especially welcome additions too,Thieves were way too underpowered before...

                    The extra 3 maps were all nice additions too along with the various map bug fixes-it was fun seeing everyone in the new maps being a newbie again and getting lost or asking what the hell the objectives were all over again...

                      I was new to the game at 1.2 but I have to say the feature I like best is Firebolts.



                      Seriously, I like unbalanced maps.
                      For all my complaining about it I like the fact that there are guard maps and thief maps. I think it's foolish to go for 'balance' in a map because it's just not possible. (Although 'fair' is good)

                      I guess what I also like about the game is that there are two distinct classes with two sets of abilities and they battle it out. Too often in games the word 'balance' means 'same'.

                        Yes, that was a much welcome change for me as well.

                        The absolute WORST change in 1.2 was getting rid of the scrolling wall in Th-Spiders that said, "WHO WNATS TOO PLAY SOME THEIVERY!?!?" (or something like that.)

                          Nope. Worst change was the sewers in Nostalgia. ("You call this a fix?" people would say.) They worked perfectly in 1.1.

                          Heh. That message in Spiders should be put back in. I like Easter Eggs.

                            Best thing for offline play or best AI improvement:
                            AIs walking with flares. Oh that was 1.1 I guess.

                              Dropped potions on death/ko. Guards can use catfall and sneak up/fall on thieves (funniest things) but have to look around for hiding places for invis... and thieves can increase their lifespan by looting health potions.
