I've been messing with the Splinter cell demo lately. Good fun! In case you don't know what it is, its a third person sneaker/action game. Almost as much fun to sneak up on enemies and karate chop KO em as it was in thief to Bj guards!

I don't think its possible to "ghost" but he can get around without being seen pretty good. And once you do get in a firefight he holds up pretty well.

I thought since it was sneaker related i'd let you all know check it out and let me know what you think.

AH man, this thing is nice!

I just jumped out a third story window of a parking garage onto a box on a crane. Its raining and the effect of it is just awesome. Then I fell off the box.

But thats ok, cause Sam (the char you play) just spun around and grabbed it, and then climbed back up.

Then I grabbed a cable, and slowly (hand over hand, hanging) moved down over this other building. Then I snuck around...smashed in a window, and crawled into that building.

      Its just cool.

He can grab onto ledges and and swing around, and climb and bounce off of walls...slide down cables. I want more games with this kind of mobility!

          Twweeekk.

          Great fun!

It's quite possible to ghost it... At least i did beat the first mission without a kill/knockout/alarm
Just gotta learn how to distract the guards.

I also tried the full version on Xbox, and i was in an appartment i had rappeled into when i heard guards approching...

I switched the light of and run to the window and out and then hanged in my arms from the window... Guards didn't even see me.

You know that one spot where the 2 police are at that drunk guy?
I tried shooting the light there so I could sneak past, but they shot me immediately.

So, I grabbed that small ledge (from the steps) and just kind of slid over them. That was cool.

              Yep, knew that one.

I actually got into one of those "Your not suppose to be here" places.
In the first map, after you used the computer so the gates open and the guards come out, go in let the civilian move out from the area he's in. And then you can somehow by jumping the dumpster get onto the ledge. Evendo there is a small fence on it i could still get up there, et voila! Secret area. If you jump down on the other side of the wall, your in a closed area. If you turn around and jump onto the platform you get back to the house where you started.

Yeah, I've been waiting for this game ever since the demo came out. I'll try to swing by a store this weekend and see if they have it. I can almost ghost the demo...if it weren't for that first policeman you encounter. He always spots me.

In gameplay terms, yeah, it is better.

But the MGS DID kick serious ass!
