  • What Linux Version?

    Hi,

how can I find out if a Linux server is a 64 bit installation or a 32 bit?

    It's a Suse 10.0

    Cheers
    Felix

it will say X/AM64 or i486/x86 on the ISO if you downloaded it, for 64-bit and 32-bit respectively.

    However, Ubuntu for the win.

Also, if you try to install it on a 32-bit station, it will tell you that the CD is 64-bit and won't function or not, if it is not printed anywhere on the ISO or the CD

Apparently there is a linux console command to go this (but which can't be posted), see: http://www.stata.com/support/faqs/win/64bit.html

        or maybe

        Code:
        gcc -v
