  • Some might hate it. . .

. . . and it might be in already, but a run "meter" would be great imho. So Thieves and Guards can only run for a limited amount of time before resting. The meter would then slowly recharge.

Speed potions would make you faster than run (of course) but also slow the meter from running out - a lot.

    Advanced options -
    - If you let it run out completely you get exhaused and go really slow for a bit whilst you recover.
    - If a guard is hit by an arrow he gets an automatic temporary run guage boost to reflect the adrenaline surge when he realises his life is in danger (as opposed to just chasing some taffer).

nah, I dont like that idea at all... you cant WALK around the map as guard 24/7 when you dont see any thieves, that would take forever exploring the map/guarding areas..

you can even die as thief because of that.. how fun getting chased by a guard and you get tired, and then a next non-exhausted guard comes running towards you and you cant run... noneed...

It would be very cool, if you start breathing loudly because you have run too much.
      (Like in Strike-Force).
So Guards must have this feature, too.
Otherwise it would be too easy because you know a thief is here....

Well I think it would make the game more like Thief. Guards dttn run all over in Thief. It's more tense that way.

It would also require skill rather than speed to escape when you are spotted.

Nightblade was focused on exploiting boostjumps to gain ridiculous heights.

And Master-Builider was obsessed with placing XXXXL sized crates around the maps.
