Right, for those of you that haven't heard of it, W.O.R.M. is a user-mod for Unreal Tournament that basically allows you to mix & match weapons from different mods. You refer to the weapons by "package.class" format & choose what weapon slot they should all go in.
What I'd like to see is a loadout variant, with two main functions:
-Choose exactly what equipment thieves/guards start with, without having to rescript the ThieveryGameSettings actor in the current level
-Choose what items to display in the ThieveryShops, again without having to modify those placed within the level
Now, I've been thinking this over a lot, recently, & I do believe that I would stand a fair chance of being able to script this potential add-on for Thievery myself. However, Loadout W.O.R.M. would probably be implemented as a mutator (like the orginal W.O.R.M.), & so once again I need to beg the dev's:
PLEASE PUT MUTATOR SUPPORT INTO THIEVERY
Incase you're wondering why I'm so bothered about changing loadouts, I'm planning to start scripting some custom inventory items & a Loadout W.O.R.M sounds like theoertically the best way to add them to existing levels. This would also allow servers to customise gameplay on their server, & allow for more customisation into guild-matches (ghost-matches could be enforced, if the need arose). Also, single-player would be less restricted & so players could get an increased replayability value.
So what's everyone think of the idea?
