  • The bow...

I'm just wondering... A normal bow makes little or no noicse when pulling back the arrow... Only on release... And hit...

The Thievery bow makes noise on pulling back and no on release or impact... (Except the ouch...)

Can't this be changed??? It will get more real then... (yes, it will be harder for guards, but the taffer is stealthy...)
hehe.... this is a sig no?

    I agree with Kain here.

I have my own bow, and the only sound I've heard coming from it is from the twang of the string after I've released it. That and a light swooshing sound of the arrow, then the thunk again from said arrow as it hit the target.

Oh! And the sound of the arrow as it scraped along the arrow guide.

But no creaking sounds. The bow itself makes no noise, and I do have a pretty old one made completely out of wood.

I think the bow sound should be shorter and not so loud.

      Replace
      CREEEAAAK!

      With
      Creak.

Yeah, I actually tried to record theese sounds...

First... click arrow to the bow...

No sound of pulling... (No creak)

Then a little scraping... (VERY low sound...)

        Then Swosh! (Release)

Clank! (Hit target, like a guard)

And I also got a full wood bow...

You target practice in the house?!

I wish I had the room to do that.

The huge creak sound is useful. It can only be heard by guards when the thief is using anything that could cause damage, like broadheads for example. Moss, water, decoy cannot be heard by guards when pulled back.

It's perfect how it is. Unless you mean the model.
                      The only constant is change.
(And I wouldn't have it any other way.)

It's not realistic how it is. If you ever pull back a bow and it makes the sound a Thievery bow makes, let the string down very gently. Then take it off the bow, and DESTROY it. That creaking sound is the noise that a bow limb makes when it's about to fail, and if it fails at full draw, there's a LOT of potential kinetic energy going to be released. People have lost eyes, hands, even entire arms as a result.

That said, I wouldn't change it in game. It may not be realistic, but it is well balanced. Gameplay comes first.

I love this squiking sound, coz when im sharpshooting all guards try to hide and feel respectA to the lone sniper hidden somewhere in the shadows.

You may have a bow..but is it a Medievil times bow? made of the same type of wood and string? perhaps the bows they used were water logged at one point and getting old. so its just unknown.

It's the same kind of wood... But a modern string... Nu guts here...

A bow that make a creaking sound like that is not a good bow...

It might be good for game but... The sound...
