The Ultima series is a critically acclaimed selection of games that have flourished thanks to one important feature: The ability to make bread.

I suggest that Thievery should capitalise on this proven formula for success by implementing a cooking subgame to maps with a kitchen and the appropriate produce.

For example, dough and an apple makes an apple pie. Apple pie and fire makes a cooked apple pie. Cooked apple pie and stomach make a TASTY HEALTH REPLENISHING TREAT. Real adventure elements!

This has been played with in terms of potions.

I don't think that thieves would make very good chefs though.

I've played Arx Fatalis. It's radish. You can't 'even' make apple pies. Apple pies are IT.

No fish or mushrooms or steak or carrots or anything. Just apple pies, forever.

I thought sushi was made from raw fish + cooked rice + perhaps some veggies.

                          Oh. My bad.

But how do we know that? There's all kinds of sacks laying around. They can't all be filled with flour.
