  • Forums are too wide!

I'm running 800x600 and the entire forum is a big sidescroller. I have to side scroll just to read the right most letters on every post, and then I can't see the names of the poster. It's friggin annoying! I recon it could be fixed be making the top image a little less wider.

    BWHAHAHAHAHA! 800x600 !!!

    Um ... i dint say that :p

No but, there is indeed a problem with that. I just changed to 800x600 and it's indeed very anoying. Plz fix this for the 800x600 people !
On demand this signature has been changed. I hope nobody was insulted or got harmed due to my signature. If this is the case, I'm fully responsible for the harm that was done. Do you feel harmed or you simply want a listening ear?

I agree with you, the top image is most likely causing the trouble. Thank god I'm using 1024x768. But I know many of you use 800x600, and I can see why this problem is irritrating.

So Dalai, agree with the resizing?

Hehehe, that's because they haven't converted their overall_header.tpl to display valid XHTML. If they do that, then the page will resize everything in whatever browsersize you are using. Except the image's won't resize so you can resize the browser to the largest image on the page.

Non-resizing webpages sux0r, I agree. Omega, can you mail me the info on how to convert the header to valid XHTML?

I altered the tables in the header so the forum should resize okay now. I also just updated the forum to phpbb 2.0.3, so let me know if you spot anything out of place!

Looks better in 800x600 resolution now. I don't get a sidescroller anymore.

                    Hurray for 2.0.3!

                    And hurray for 1280 x 1024!
I do still run 1024 x 768 on my secondary 15" monitor. Not that I'm bragging.

It seems to be happening again...every post is a side-scroller...

This may be unrelated, but threads with large screenshots force horizontal scrolling on the entire page. TTLG resized individual posts to the maximum screen width, so one offending post with big pictures did not mean you had to scroll to see the other posts. (Each post was like a mini HTML table.) Can this be done on this forum?
