Dark flares bug

I guess i'm not the only one getting this and that the developers are already aware of it, but it never hurts telling:

Sometimes i use a flare and i get no light. I have the item in my hands, the animation and all, but no green light around me. If i throw it away, it still has no light. Annoying when you know the thief is right in front of you. Not only because you risk your life and because he might escape, but because he must be laughting his bum off seeing how you dumbly stare at the amazing "dark flare" of death, shaking it and putting your ear on it to see if it's broken or something.

Alternatively, you could add a game feature called "faulty flares", which might happen every now and then due to cheap powder being used on their construction. :grin:

How do you know this isn't already the cause of this?

Well, to be in the second revision, the mod is pretty free of bugs compared to many other mods and commercial games out there.

This "bug" usually happens whena guards tries to throw a flare down before letting it light....Dont see much prob with it

i get this all the time..usually it goes this way: i pick it up and it gives off no light.... i throw it and the light is there...pick it up and no light

I could KO you in the open with no probs, nevermind when you have a flare out (no weapon LOL)

Having a weapon out doesn't make me automatically immune to BJ, you know... :roll:

I had this a few times when i picked up flares from another guard. I think this case the bug is always there.

I replicated the bug, and while the environment isn't lit around the flare, it still exposes thieves, so it seems to be a minor bug.
