Make them go invisible in the dark, like corpses and moss patches.
This would help the mine to fit more in it's original intention, namely a trap.
As it is now, mines are hugely underpowered. They are weak, destroy your own equipment, can be sabotaged and generally only work well in conjunction with other traps like caltrops or whistlers... and they cost more than caltrops too, whilst caltrops are far more effective in stopping thieves.
Shouldn't be to much coding, and this could also prevent rushing, since thieves now really have to watch their step.
