I really hope that all of the maps in 1.3 will be updated with sketch maps that show moving teammates, like some were in 1.2. It was a very good idea that I was glad had been implemented in the new maps, but I was disappointed when I saw the old 1.1 maps unchanged. Hopefully...

One of the downsides to real-time maps is that they do not represent vertical levels (building floors) well. One particular mapper is working on a vertically oriented map, from what I've read here. I imagine a map for that level will be particularly frustrating....
Shouldn't this be under Suggestions or the Mapping forum?

hell no.. Download Accelerator changed my life! if u dont like ads.. crack it.. either way..the spot where the ads were is still there.. so whats the big deal? the magic of DA is what made life worth living! and it auto configures Opera to work with it SWEET. Cable modem plus DA = 3x-5x faster than cable alone. I love you DA

When servers go to divide bandwidth between clients, they dole it out equally among connections (occasionally with some bias in there for connection reasons). What these download accelerators do is connect multiple times, and try to fake the server into giving you more bandwidth than you should be getting. This has a few effects:
-Your download goes much faster
-Everyone else's download goes slower
-Servers only support up to so many connections, and once the slots are full, the server rejects download attempts. So with these accelerators, it is possible for a couple greedy people to own a reasonably sized server because each client appears as ten, or fifty, or a hundred.
I could list other reasons, but those are probably the main ones that don't require technical jargon. So realize that while these things help individual users, they hurt both the servers, other users, and the network in general. And as they are becoming common and popular now, they're going to start being blocked soon. And that's going to be even worse for everyone in the long run.Nearly all men can stand adversity -- if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.
